This is a vintage Chinese brass and cloisonné enamel trinket box.
It features a hinged lid with a floral design on a red background using the traditional cloisonné technique.
The body of the box is brass with etched or embossed designs and it stands on small feet.
Cloisonné is an ancient metalworking technique where thin metal wires outline a design, which is then filled with enamel and fired in a kiln.
