Lot of 39 JOURNAL DES DEMOISELLES French High-Fashion ENGRAVING PRINTS
I know next to nothing of these pieces. What is obviously observable follows.
Of the 39 items, 29 are 1-page and colored, with dates ranging from 1878 to 1899.
6 have NO DATE I can find.
4 are 2-page, centerfold pieces. 3 color and 3 B&W. Dates are 1897 & 1899 (3 each year).
4 are larger gatefold centerfold pieces. All are B&W and dated 1878 & 1879 (2 each year).
Printed on a thick, moderately stiff paper. The backs are blank. Looks to be maybe 2 duplicates; see pics to confirm.
CONDITION: All have at least a patch or two of light discoloration; with a few darker than others all over. Each also has one rough edge; inevitably, due to having been manually removed from their original binding. Several have an edge tear or two; mostly small. The most significant issue with any of them is the tear along the center seam of one of the
the larger gatefold pieces.
