This teapot by Devon Cobb, distributed under Burlington Ware

Made in England in the 1930s. The teapot features a characterful molded design with hand-painted accents, typical of Devon Cobb's whimsical ceramic work. These novelty teapots, often representing fanciful depictions of old thatch roofed cottages and other such buildings, were popular in British households during the early 20th century. This example is both a functional vessel and a collectible piece of English pottery history. Very good vintage condition. Minor age-related crazing and light wear to painted surfaces. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Marked “Burlington Ware Made in England” on the base. Please look at the images for more close up photos of the item’s condition.
