This union case is embellished with geometric scroll patterns. The frame case has a ruby ambrotype photo of a gentleman. He is from the late 1800s to early 1900s. The case is the union style. Samuel Peck and Alfred Critchlow developed this type of case production in the early 1850s, and it was known as the "Florence Compound."
